Skiddaw is a mountain in the Lake District National Park, Cumbria , England. Its 931-metre summit is the sixth-highest in England and  lies just north of the town of Keswick, Cumbria, and dominates the skyline in this part of the northern lakes. Although not as rugged looking as some of the Lake District’s peaks Skiddaw holds special qualities and being isolated from its mountain neighbours provided the walker with unrestricted views from its summit and from its southern side are arguably the best in the Lake District.
