Großvenediger at a height of 3666 meters is the highest peak of the Venediger Group within the Hohe Tauern mountain range, on the border of the Austrian Tyrol region with Salzburg. It is generally considered to be Austria’s most impressive mountain being the fourth highest. Despite the worlds natural glaciers eroding the summit remains covered by glaciers and is part of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
