Crib Goch on Snowdon translates into English as ‘rec Ridge’ is both one of the most exciting but dangerous mountain ridges in the UK. Crib Goch is fondly referred to by experienced climbers as “The Knife Edge” and perhaps for good reason as it has sadly over the years claimed several lives. Its attraction lies in the breathtaking precipitous knife-edge drops and views visible to the mountaineer from either side of a narrow and in places treacherous path which leads towards the summit of Snowdon. It is usually accessed from the Pyg Track route and is for the brave and confident climber only, in winter it becomes the preserve of only the most experienced of mountain walkers and climbers who are equipped with crampons and ice axes. …Beware! …For the brave only.
