Carnedd Dafydd is the 2nd highest mountain in the Snowdon Mountain massif known as the Carneddau range and is the 3rd highest mountain in Wales to Snowdon at a height of 1044m. In common with other mountains of the Carneddau range, it has a flat, boulder-strewn summit plateau. On a good, clear day the views from the summit are superb, encompassing Snowdon and the Isle of Anglesey. It is often summited as part of the Welsh 3000 ft. mountain challenge which includes the Carnedd Llewelyn, Carnedd Dafydd and Yr Ellen mountains.
